A few years ago now, I studied pure mathematics and computer science at the University of Adelaide. For my honours degree in pure mathematics, I wrote a short thesis on ‘maximal arcs’—objects found in ‘projective planes’ in the field of projective geometry: Maximal arcs in finite field planes.
